Try-outs for the 2010 spring season begin this week. Please arrive at all try-outs 30 minutes prior to the start time to get your number and instructions for the try-outs. All try-outs will be held at the Madison County Recreation Department. See the information below for dates, times, and locations for each category. All boys must try-out. Players that were in the Major league last year and that are still of league age 10 - 12 will remain in the Major league but be drafted to other teams. These players are required to try-out. A make-up day will be scheduled for Sunday, Feb 21st , 2010 at 1:30 p.m. for all players who were unable to attend their scheduled tryout date. No make-up day for the Junior/Senior Division. If there is a rainout of any tryout dates above, they will be rescheduled for Saturday Feb. 20th at 1 pm If there is more than one rainout, they next group will be at rescheduled for 3 pm on Feb. 20th. If Saturday Feb. 28th is rained out, we will make it up on Sunday Feb 21st , at 2 pm & 4 pm. the chart to determine the date, time, and location of your try-out.

MCLL elected the 2010 Board of Directors at it's Annual Meeting on October 29th. Jackie Garrison takes over as president of the organization. Jackie served as vice-president last year and has served on the board for many years. Bryan Wilkes will serve as vice-president. Susan Lee will continue to serve as secretary and Leigh Anne Pruitt will continue to serve as treasurer. The rest of the board will be posted soon.

Our 11 - 12 Softball team lost to Warner Robins in the State Finals to become the runner-ups in the State. The score was 6 - 1. This was a scraping team that played their hearts out in each game. We are very proud of this great team.

MCLL Junior Softball Team Runner-Up in State Tournament

Our Junior League Softball team is the runner-up in the State Tournament. The team lost to Pioneer Little League from Columbus in todays finals 7 - 3. They lost to the same team 13 - 1 on Monday night. Congratulations to these girls on a great tournament season. The 11 - 12 softball team won the District 7 Championship. They will now travel to Warner Robins for the state tournament beginning on July 18th. The 11 - 12 baseball team was eliminated from the tournament losing to Franklin County 6 - 4 in the semi-finals. Madison County Senior League Baseball Team Wins State Championship!!!

The MCLL Senior League baseball team defeated Western Little League by a score of 7 - 4 to become the 2008 Senior League State Champions. Congratulations to Bryan Wilkes and his team.
