It is time for Fall Ball! MCLL will hold sign-ups for Fall Ball on the following dates and locations: Saturday – July 31 – from 10-2 at the VFW field on Hwy 29 in Danielsville (There will also be a clean-up day to work on the VFW fields for MCLL use) Tues – Aug 3rd form 6 – 8:30 at the football building at the Rec Dept Thurs – Aug 5th from 6 – 8:30 at the football building Sat – Aug 7th from 10 – 2 at the football building.

The MCLL Senior League (15 - 16) Softball All-Stars defeated Hart County 7 - 3 to earn the District 7 Championship! They earned the right to compete in the State Tournament next beginning July 17th in Columbus. We will post their schedule as soon as we get the information. Congratulations girls! Great job! The MCLL Senior League Baseball team is the District 7 Champion!!! They defeated Toccoa by a score of 10 - 0 to claim the title. The manager was Mike Townsend and the coach was Wes Roberts. Members of the team are: Keagan Whittington, Zack Gibby, Trey Adams, Trey Threlkeld, Logan Pace, Ethan Smith, Ethan Lyons, Daniel Townsend, Daniel Allen, Daniel West, Aaron Benner, Cody Mainland, Alex Perry, Austin Carey, and Silas McClendon.

The team is managed by Harley Bartlett. Grayson Gillespie is the coach. Members of the team are: Jackson Williams, Wyatt Wood, Dewitt Wood, Sam Bartlett, Hank Sartain, Sam Carey, Golston Gillespie, Noah Rogers, Dylan Gentry, Luke Gillespie, and Chandler Pethel.

The team was managed by Lance Wade. Chris Shupe and Todd Alexander are the coaches. Members of the team are: Courtney Alexander, Kristen Crumley, Taylor Freeman, Leah Gearing, Tatum Harris, Katie Jacobsen, Kacie James, Anna McCarty, Brianna Morgan, Kelsie Palmer, Morgan Pruitt, Mallory Rogers, and Casie Wade.

The team was managed by Dale Fleming. David Fields was the coach. Members of the team are: Corbin Hancock, Jared Bates, Elijah Fleming, Clay Petty, Zeke Smallwood, Zack Pilgrim, Hayden Frey, Wyatt Gearing, Lee Griffeth, and Austin Wheless.

MCLL would like to thank everyone for a great 2010 season. There were a lot of great softball and baseball games played this season. We would like to thank all of the managers and coaches for the amount of time and effort that you put into your teams this year. Managing and coaching youth sports teams is one of the toughest jobs in sports and we appreciate your involvement in the youth of our county. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this season a success. We hope all our players and fans enjoyed the season.

MCLL is proud to offer two new services to the participants in it's program. We have added a Parent Hot Line which allows you to call to see if games and practices have been canceled. The number is 1-866-230-6298. There will also be other important information and announcements at this number. We have also developed a notification system. The service allows us to send out emails and/or text messages to everyone that registers for the service. As soon as we get the message that the recreation department is canceling use of their facilities for the day we will send out the message to all registrants. You can register for this service by going to http://madisoncountylittleleague.com/registerme.php. We think this will be great way to get this information out to our managers and parents.

MCLL elected the 2010 Board of Directors at it's Annual Meeting on October 29th. Jackie Garrison takes over as president of the organization. Jackie served as vice-president last year and has served on the board for many years. Bryan Wilkes will serve as vice-president. Susan Lee will continue to serve as secretary and Leigh Anne Pruitt will continue to serve as treasurer. The rest of the board will be posted soon.

Our 11 - 12 Softball team lost to Warner Robins in the State Finals to become the runner-ups in the State. The score was 6 - 1. This was a scraping team that played their hearts out in each game. We are very proud of this great team.

MCLL Junior Softball Team Runner-Up in State Tournament

Our Junior League Softball team is the runner-up in the State Tournament. The team lost to Pioneer Little League from Columbus in todays finals 7 - 3. They lost to the same team 13 - 1 on Monday night. Congratulations to these girls on a great tournament season. The 11 - 12 softball team won the District 7 Championship. They will now travel to Warner Robins for the state tournament beginning on July 18th. The 11 - 12 baseball team was eliminated from the tournament losing to Franklin County 6 - 4 in the semi-finals. Madison County Senior League Baseball Team Wins State Championship!!!

The MCLL Senior League baseball team defeated Western Little League by a score of 7 - 4 to become the 2008 Senior League State Champions. Congratulations to Bryan Wilkes and his team.
